Hallo!
Bloggity blog, here we go again!
This week I’m going to focus on Black Tea. I think one of the most surprising facts that I came across while working on product knowledge was that green tea and black tea are actually the same plant. They possess very similar health benefits, they are just processed differently.
The processing difference is going to be how much oxidization they experience, (the amount of oxygen they encounter).
Green tea leaves are heated after harvest in order to prevent the oxidization process, while Black tea, the leaves are allowed to oxidize after harvest.
Black Tea helps to reduce blood pressure levels, the risk of stoke, and improve gut health.
However, you don't need to merely drink black tea to benefit from its healthy properties. You can steam it, cool it, and apply it to minor cuts and bruises. It will relieve pain and swelling.
A Black tea bath can also ease inflammation caused by skin rashes and conditions such as poison ivy.
This weeks stress risk will be HBP/hypertension/high blood pressure.
Hypertension can cause headaches, chest pain, and difficulty breathing.
Studies have shown that drinking 3 cups of black tea a day can reduce blood pressure levels by 2 to 3 points.
Studies also show that women that are pregnant or men/women that have heart issues should not drink more than 200mg of caffeine a day(roughly 4 cups of black tea).
